Card Samples from March 10 for $10

These are 3 of the cards that we made at the 10 for $10 last week. I used Botanical Blooms (Sale-a-Bration set), Game Night (from the Spring-Summer catalog) and Echoes a Kindness (a Level 2 hostess set in the current catalog). We also used my new toy, the Big Shot die cutting machine, on four of the cards. We didn't die cut anything but the machine also comes with textured templates so we did the texturizing on most of the cards. It's so simple to do but adds great dimension. A complete list of supplies used, as well as samples of the other cards can be found in my gallery at Splitcoast (see the link to the left).

SU! Returning to Annual Catalog

I read some great news yesterday. I was on the SU! demonstrator website and found a message stating that they will be returning to annual catalogs effective this July. I, for one, did not like the semi-annual catalogs so am very happy to hear this news. They will also be going back to having hostess awards in the mini-catalogs (3 mini catalogs per year).

Botanical Blooms Card Sample

Our theme for this month's swap was using one of the Sale-a-Bration sets. I chose to use Botanical Blooms as well as the Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper and the Ribbon Bundle from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. I like the way this turned out. Oh, I just noticed that the scan cut off the bottom portion of the card. I have already sent it off to our Swap Leader so I can't scan it again. Anyway, I did add some small pearl buttons just underneath the flowers for a little added touch.

Occasions Mini Catalog Early Ordering Starts March 1st

This year's Occasions Mini Catalog (April 1 - June 30) contains a few Easter stamp sets. Since the Occasions sale period doesn't start until April 1st, SU! is releasing these 3 sets for early ordering. The preview of the 3 sets can be viewed at this site: http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/pg11-13_Occasions_09_US.pdf. If you are interested in any of these sets, send me an email with the details or go to the SU! homepage, http://www.stampinup.com/, and place an online order. Make sure to choose the option for designating a demonstrator and enter my name for the Demonstrator Directory search. This will allow you to purchase at the normal prices that are in the catalog. On that note, in my last post I mentioned that the shipping charges are higher if you do not choose a demonstrator, I have recently discovered that the prices of all the items is also more expensive. Best to choose or demonstrator or email me to place an order. Enjoy the warmer weather! Well, at least through tomorrow...
