This was the card that I created my July submission for the swap that I participate in. I purchased this stamp and patterned paper at a local craft store with the specific intent of using them for my swap. I took the layout idea from the Aug/Sept 2008 issue of Papercrafts magazines. If you don't subscribe to any crafting magazines, I highly recommend Papercrafts. I perked up the image with clear Stickles and the used Crystal Effects on the background to make the waves "pop".

Altered Version of Flag Card

One of the other stampers in the monthly swap that I participate in, liked the patriotic card I submitted for the June swap. She took my creation and altered it to create her own version of the card. I like how she used white ink for the words. I also like the way she draped the ribbon on the bottom blue card that is shown here. I posted my sample a couple of weeks ago so you can check it out on this blog, just scroll down to "Blog by Topic" and choose "Card Samples".

June 10 for $10 Samples
These are three of the cards that we made at the 10 for $10 a couple of weeks ago. For those of you that have been customers of mine for a while, you might recognize the patriotic card. We made it a couple of years ago. It is one of my favorites and, since everyone that attended in June hadn't made it before, I decided to recreate it. Check out my gallery at SplitCoast for all ten cards as well as the supplies we used.
