Trying Out my Never-Been-Used Retired Stamp Set

I purchased the Farm Fresh stamp set back in early 2005. Well, that is also the year that it retired in June and I never even had the chance to use it. So, I decided that I wanted to try it out because I really do think it is a cute set. I went to SplitCoastStampers to check out their gallery and found about 12 different cards that I wanted to try out. The three above are just a few samples and they are my favorites of the ones that I have made. So far, I've made six and intend to make at least two more. I've got all the details on my gallery at SplitCoast so check it out.

STAMP CLUB HOSTESS SCHEDULE

As promised, here is the schedule for hostess for the 2008 Stamp Club:
January: K.K., March: E.F., May: S.S., July: J.Z., Sept: D.M., Nov: S.W.

EMBRACE LIFE STAMP SET

This is another new stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalog. Again, used Designer Series paper on both cards. It really is one of my favorite items. I tried out my new Crop-a-Dile tool to adhere the eyelets. It's a bit confusing at first because it has so many functions but is a lot handier than hauling multiple hole punches and eyelet setters around.

A BEAUTIFUL THING STAMP SET

This is a stamp set from the new Spring/Summer catalog. I love the Designer Series double-sided paper. It is used on both of these cards. Also, a newer product, the Build-a-Brads, are used on the blue card. They are very easy to use and add a very original look to paper-crafted items.

TIME WELL SPENT HOSTESS SENT

We used the wax-resist technique on both of these cards. It's fairly simple. Stamp the image, use a white (or colored) crayon to fill in areas that you do not want the ink to adhere to. Then, sponge or roll (with an ink brayer) over the image. Take a cloth and wipe off the excess ink from the wax.

Stamp Club 2008

It's time to start Stamp Club again for 2008. Our first club meeting will be on January 15th at 6:00 p.m. (If you have lost track of time like I have, the 15th is only 10 days from today.) I am working on projects for the meeting, trying to focus on some of the new Stampin' Up! products and just being creative. I have a copy of the Spring/Summer catalog for all the Stamp Club members. You will receive it at our meeting on the 15th. I look forward to seeing you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and has a fun-filled, wonderful new year!!
